Instrument der Superlative - der Kontrabass Der Kontrabass ist nicht nur das grösste Instrument, sondern auch das tiefste unter den Streichinstrumenten. Ein Schriftsteller hat ihm einen ganzen Roman gewidmet: „Der Kontrabass“ von Patrick Süsskind. Im Orchester bildet der Bass das Fundament, aber auch in der Kammermusik fällt der tiefe Klang angenehm auf. Xaver Paul Thoma schrieb für dieses Instrument Werke für Trio, Quintett, Sextett, Septett, Oktett, None...
